Learning Forward Ohio is excited to have the Learning Forward Institute for Coaches coming to Columbus Aug. 6-8, 2012.  Last year, we had more than 40 participants for the Learning Forward Coaches Academy that last 6 days. This Academy was highly successful!  This year we are working to make this a similar opportunity, but are trying to reduce costs so that more can afford to attend.  If the participants in this Institute show enough interest, we will arrange to have the additional 3 days of the Academy at a future time. This is an quality professional learning opportunity for any educator wanting to learn more about instructional coaching roles and responsibilities. It will build individual capabilities of instructional coaches. It will help develop the communication/relationship skills needed for coaches to influence school cultures and build trusting and productive relationships with teachers.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for teams of teacher and/or coaches to learn together. It is also a great way for coaches to build an excellent network with other coaches. There are many different funding sources that this professional learning might qualify for, including title funds, Race to the Top and Professional Development funds.
